Frequently Asked Questions
About Meraki Studio
Every piece of jewellery is handcrafted with care and intention in my Sydney studio, on Gadigal Land.
Not at the moment. Meraki Studio is an online-only jewellery studio, but I regularly attend markets and pop-up events around Sydney throughout the year. Follow me on social media or subscribe to my newsletter to stay up to date with where I'll be next.
Gifting
Absolutely. I offer eGift Cards in a range of values. You can choose to send your gift card directly to the recipient immediately or schedule it to be delivered on a future date. Prefer to gift it in person? Simply send it to yourself and print it at home.
Absolutely. Pricing information is never included in the parcel, so your order can be sent directly to your recipient. Every order is beautifully gift boxed and ready to give, and you can include a complimentary handwritten gift message by leaving your note at checkout.
Yes. Every piece arrives beautifully gift boxed, wrapped and ready to give at no additional cost.
Custom Jewellery
Absolutely. I love collaborating on one-of-a-kind pieces and custom designs. Whether you have a specific design in mind or simply an idea you'd like to explore, I'd love to hear from you. Get in touch through my contact page and we can chat about bringing your vision to life.
In many cases, yes. Whether your gemstone can be incorporated will depend on its condition, size, cut and the design itself. Send me a few details or photos and I'll happily let you know what's possible.
Not just yet. The traditional casting process I use requires very specific metal alloys to ensure every piece is strong and durable, so I can't currently melt down or reuse customers' existing gold or silver. I already use recycled precious metals throughout my jewellery and hope to offer sentimental metal recycling in the future.
Absolutely. Precision laser engraving can be added to the back of pendants and the inside of ring bands for a flat fee. Simply select the engraving option on the product page and enter your chosen message. Please allow an additional week for engraved orders.
Shipping & Warranty
I aim to dispatch ready-to-ship pieces within one business day.
For made-to-order and custom jewellery, the estimated creation time is listed on each product page. I'll keep you updated throughout the process and let you know as soon as your order is on its way.
As soon as your order has been dispatched, you'll receive an email and SMS with your tracking details. You can also view your tracking information through your customer account. All orders are sent via Australia Post.
I want you to absolutely love your Meraki Studio jewellery. If something isn't quite right, please get in touch and I'll always do my best to find the best solution.
I offer a 30-day change-of-mind return policy on jewellery that hasn't been personalised or customised. Unfortunately, I can't accept returns on fingerprint and pet print jewellery, engraved pieces or jewellery made with custom gemstones, as these are created especially for you.
Yes. Every piece of Meraki Studio jewellery comes with Free Repairs for Life. This covers general wear and tear, such as broken chains, clasps and jump rings. If your jewellery ever needs a little care, simply get in touch and I'll be happy to help.
Yes. Complimentary resizing is included for rings up to two sizes. If you're unsure of your size before ordering, feel free to get in touch and I'll be happy to help.
Impression Print Pieces
Once you place your order, I'll send you a Wax Impression Kit containing everything you need to capture your fingerprint, handprint, footprint, paw print or nose print.
Simply follow the step-by-step instructions to create your impressions, then return them using the prepaid return label included. Once I receive your impressions, I'll transform them into your heirloom piece of jewellery using the traditional lost-wax casting process.
Unlike laser engraving, which copies a photograph or scanned image onto the surface of metal, my Impression Print Jewellery captures the actual three-dimensional impression of your fingerprint, handprint, footprint, paw print or nose print.
Using the traditional lost-wax casting process, every tiny ridge, line and detail from your original impression becomes part of the finished jewellery itself, creating a deeply personal heirloom with texture you can both see and feel.
Don't worry - the wax is incredibly forgiving. If you aren't happy with the depth or clarity of your impression, simply warm the wax and try again. You can repeat the process as many times as you need until you're happy with your print.
Yes, in most cases I can. I regularly work with clay moulds and silicone impressions provided by funeral homes, hospitals and veterinary clinics. Before placing your order, please send me a photo so I can confirm the impression contains enough detail to create your jewellery.
Unfortunately not. Because I use the traditional lost-wax casting process, I need a physical three-dimensional impression. This can be created using one of my Wax Impression Kits or an existing clay or silicone impression.
An Impression Print Master Mould is a permanent silicone mould I create from your original wax impression before it's cast into metal.
Because the lost-wax casting process burns away the original wax during casting, a Master Mould is the only way to permanently preserve your impression. It allows you to order matching jewellery or future gifts without needing to take another impression.
Absolutely. Almost all of my fingerprint and pet print jewellery can be customised with one or more gemstones, including birthstones or stones with personal meaning. Simply send me a message with the birthstone, gemstone or even the colours you're looking for, and I'll recommend the best options for your piece.
