What is a Master Mould?
A Master Mould is a permanent silicone mould created from your raw wax print before it is transformed into precious metal. By preserving your print, it allows you to create multiple matching keepsake pieces over time without ever needing to take a new wax impression.
Why Order a Master Mould?
- Matching Keepsakes: Perfect for creating identical family pieces or memorial jewellery over time.
- Future Orders: We securely archive your Master Mould in our studio for one year, allowing you to order alternative styles whenever you are ready.
- Wax Preservation: Because the traditional lost-wax casting technique destroys the original wax mould, this is the only way to permanently save your print.
How It Works:
- Ordering Constraints: This must be added to your cart at the same time as your jewellery piece or Wax Impression Kit. We cannot create a Master Mould once your wax has already been cast into metal.
- Studio Archiving: We securely hold and manage your mould in our Sydney studio for future orders.
- Shipping Requests: We do not automatically ship the physical silicone mould to you. If you request its delivery, it must be returned to our studio when placing future orders, and we cannot guarantee its reusability if it is stored incorrectly or damaged in transit.
